Beauvoir Summer

A Cathedral-campus camp with themed creative play, outdoor time and swimming. Older children have separate leadership programs.

Ages & grades

Fireflies: rising PreK, ages 3–4; normally age three by May 1, 2026 and fully toilet-trained, with a limited written-approval exception for May birthdays. Other day groups follow rising K–5; Pathfinders serves grade 6 and CIT grades 7–10.

3500 Woodley Road NW, Washington, DC, on the National Cathedral grounds. Camp uses Beauvoir’s pool and playground.

Hours & extended care

Fireflies and Blue Jays: 9am–3pm, arrival from 8:50am. Care options run 7:30–9am and 3–5:30pm. Fireflies advertises 9am–noon only for weeks 4–7.

Fireflies and Blue Jays list seven weekly sessions, June 15–July 31, 2026; closed June 19 and July 3. Verify the chosen older-child program separately.

Price

Fireflies/Blue Jays full-day reference: $720 for a five-day week, $576 for either four-day holiday week. Fireflies half-day: $460/week where offered. A $200 nonrefundable deposit and $50 registration fee per child are specified.

Themed art, games, stories, music and outdoor exploration. Blue Jays have daily pool instruction; younger children have quiet/rest time in their sample day.

Care requires advance enrollment. Historical care prices were communicated directly to registered families. Some groups also have separate afternoon enrichment classes.

The 2026 program pages required balances by April 30. Remaining payments became nonrefundable after that date; deposits and registration fees were excluded from refunds.
