A collection of day, specialty, sports and academic programs on separate Washington and Bethesda campuses. Select a specific program: ages, hours, fees and extended care vary.

Junior prices
Full day 9am–3pm: $670/five-day week or $540/four-day week. Morning-only 9am–noon for ages 3–PK4: $460/$395; unavailable August 3–7.

DC day-camp example
Discovery Day Camp for rising grades 2–5: weekly June 22–July 31, 2026, 9am–3pm; $645/five-day week or $530/four-day week.
2026 informationYoungest DC campers
Discovery Junior: age 3–grade 1, fully toilet-trained and age 3 on first day. August 3–7 requires age 4 and serves PK4–K only.

DC extended day 3–5pm: $150/five-day week or $120/four-day week, weekly registration. No beforecare; Bethesda offers neither beforecare nor aftercare.

Bring lunch, snack and water; no on-campus food purchase. Campuses are not nut-free. Discuss allergies and medical action plans before attending.

DC choices include art, cooking, STEM, theater and sports; Discovery offers selectable activity workshops. Bethesda has a separate menu and younger-grade programs.

Weekly nonrefundable deposit: $100/full-day or $50/half-day per child. Before May 1, 2026 the balance is refundable; from May 1 all fees nonrefundable.

Open to families outside Sidwell Friends. Apply for financial sponsorship before registering; awards follow a separate application process.
